The complexity of identifying pain as a cause for agitation in older frail people with dementia and/or delirium

Dr Graham explores behavioural manifestations of pain in people experiencing dementia and/or delirium and describes the challenges for clinicians in identifying the presence of pain. He will share his research into identifying pain-related agitation phenotypes and why there is a gap in hospital nurses’ practice around identifying pain-related agitation.
