Introducing trusted research environments – a best practice solution for data analytics and governance

When it comes to data management, many of us make use of systems like The University of Queensland’s (UQ) Research Data Manager. There are a lot of good things about platforms like this; but data (and document) governance and control required for sensitive research data is not one of them. This is where UQ’s Trusted Research Environment (UQ-TRE) initiative comes in. We are going to discuss UQ’s work to deliver a secure, trusted and scalable environment for data governance, control and management services for data custodians and secure remote data analysis environments for research users.
