Dr Benignus Logan will discuss the GOAL trial, a large NHMRC-funded multi-site study assessing whether a geriatrician review assists frail older people living with CKD. He will share insights into the study participant’s characteristics, associations between frailty and quality of life, and what goals most matter to them. Dr Alyra Shaw will also give an update on the ReFIT study, which investigates kidney transplantation as a model for frailty reversal.
This seminar is presented by the Australian Frailty Network (AFN) and the Queensland Dementia, Ageing and Frailty Clinical Network (QDAF).
